Christian Jequel display some small formats paintings
Nestled on the Central Coast or California is Carmel-by-the-Sea.
Carmel-by-the-Sea is juxtaposed to the Carmel Basilica(home to Saint Junipero Serra), Presidio of Monterey(1st capital of California), Big Sur and Hearst Castle(Wm. Randolph Hearst).
Within the historic section of Carmel-by-the-Sea is Gallery Diamante of Carmel.
Gallery Diamante of Carmel presents the quintessence of Fine Contemporary Artwork. In their 3rd decade of business, the owners continue to maintain the highest level of ethical standards and integrity. Their unprecedented U. S. representation of the exquisite painterly works by Christian Jequel continues their journey in representing a Master of Fine Contemporary Artwork. Their collaboration with Christian Jequel represents “Works that open the mind and soul to beyond what the eye can see”.
Thank you for the continuity of their work.
This poem was inspired by the painting of Christian Jequel "Horde de chevaux". It was composed by its owner looking at everyday.

Poster of the last Christian Jequel exhibition in Shanghai (China).
This is the name of one of the last Christian painting (39.4x78.7 inch).
This painting shows the "Vieux Port" (Old Harbour) of Marseille as it was, with its fishing boats and fish merchants.
This painting will become a historical element because the "Vieux Port" warfs are under reconstruction. The pontoons will be changed, warf materials changed, and finally the fishermen no longer wellcomen in this new seascape.
In these painting workshops you will enter into the beautiful and secret world of great masters and learn their techniques and philosophy of painting. Spending one week of a painting workshop with famous painters and working under their direction will bring you a great step closer towards greatly understanding the creative process. Sharing passionately their experience produces an atmosphere charged with creative energy that enthuses students of all ages and levels.
Lectures on concepts and basic principles of painting and a series of demonstrations and individual instructions turn these painting workshops into an intense period of apprenticeship. The instructors adapt their teaching methods according to the needs of each participant so as to allow the students to become aware of their weaknesses and improve their skills according to their level, personality and goals.
All painting workshops take place in the heart of France, close to the Loire Castles, in a 19th century castle set in a beautiful environment and renovated to provide modern comfort. You will enjoy having fun and painting in the studio or outdoors and you will appreciate large and comfortable rooms and French cuisine in a friendly and enchanted atmosphere.
Because of the international acclaim of the instructors, students are attracted to these painting workshops from all over the world including the United States, Canada and Australia.
Christian Jequel has given its last training course at the Academy of Painting of "Moulin de Perrot" in the Ardèche (France).
This training course was held from September 2 to 7. It was attended by 21 trainees and as much again husbands and wifes. Trainees, amateurs or professionals, came from all over France and some from abroad.
The course was focused on the Jequel technique of knife painting.
The schedule of a typical day: in the morning the artist presents his technique, detailing all the subtleties of his art followed by a commented demonstration with knife. The rest of the day students, each at his easel, put into practice on a free topic, the recommendations of the artist. The artist follows the work of each student and help them to progress in the implementation of the explanations in the morning.
At the end of the course, the student leaves with a completed painting.
This last training course in the Ardèche marks the end of an era and was full of nostalgia.
The next Moulin de Perrot training courses will be held at Glandier Castle in the Sologne (France).

Here is a recent picture of the beautiful gallery "Diamante of Carmel" located in Carmel (California).
This gallery belongs to the couple Marla and Michael Blazina.
They exhibit a large selection of contemporary figurative painters.
Christian Jequel is particularly proud to work with this team.
Relations of Christian Jequel know that Christian always painted with opera music in the background.
So nothing extraordinary to find him with his wife to the Regio of Turin to see, hear and enjoy the Sicilian Vespers of Verdi.
The painting of Christian Jequel is impregnated with ecology, with respect for nature. In his pictures no cars, no concrete, no supermarkets but bikes, shady places, openair markets. Its topics are filled with purity, eternity: the sea, the fields of lavenders, the harvests, the horses...
For him the earth it is the nourishing mother whom it is necessary to respect. He remained faithful to this vision. However it was not easy in this time deliberately turned to hard modernism.
Painter of the biodiversity he is the witness of the world in mutation. Its pictures could be use as models for the resurgence of big balances: coast-fishing, pedestrianized zones, aromatic plants (lavenders), chimney fires, natural culturales methods .
The place of honour is given to the man, to his traditions, to friendliness.
The painting of Christian Jequel is in complete harmony with nature and in this sense it is a very current artist.
